Cleaner, clearer pool water through advanced oxidation
PureOxy® is a chlorine-free oxidizing shock product developed for swimming pools, whirlpools and spa systems. It helps oxidize organic contamination, improve water clarity and support routine pool-water maintenance.
The PureOxy® treatment concept uses potassium-based oxidizing compounds and mineral activators to initiate advanced oxidation reactions in water. These reactions generate short-lived reactive oxygen species capable of breaking down perspiration, cosmetic residues, oils and other organic contaminants introduced by swimmers. By reducing the organic load, PureOxy® can help maintain clearer, fresher-smelling water and improve the performance of the overall treatment programme. Product use must be combined with proper filtration, water balancing, monitoring and any residual disinfection required by local swimming-pool regulations.

The science behind PureOxy®
PureOxy® is presented as an activated oxygen and persulfate-based oxidation system. Its treatment performance depends on the oxidizing species generated, contaminant concentration, contact time, pH, temperature and the overall pool-water chemistry.
- Activated Persulfate Chemistry – Activation of persulfate or peroxymonosulfate compounds can produce sulfate radicals and other reactive oxidizing species.
- Reactive Contaminant Oxidation – Sulfate and hydroxyl radicals react rapidly with organic molecules, transforming them into smaller oxidation products (complete mineralization should not be assumed without analytical evidence).
- Oxygen-Producing Reactions – Peroxide-derived compounds decompose into water and oxygen ($2H_2O_2 \rightarrow 2H_2O + O_2$).
- Oxidation Is Not a Persistent Residual – Hydroxyl and sulfate radicals are extremely short-lived, while dissolved oxygen is not a disinfectant residual; a separately approved residual disinfectant may remain necessary.
