RAPIDSOFT® and RAPIDSOFT® PLUS provide salt-free alternatives to conventional ion-exchange water softeners for residential and commercial scale-prevention applications.
RAPIDSOFT® uses FILTERSORB® SP3 nucleation-assisted crystallization technology to condition temporary carbonate hardness without removing calcium and magnesium from the water. RAPIDSOFT® PLUS combines FILTERSORB® SP3 scale prevention with TRAPPSORB®-based water conditioning for applications requiring an additional corrosion-control and magnesium-conditioning stage. Both systems operate without salt regeneration, brine discharge, backwashing or electrical control valves.

Nucleation-Assisted Crystallization (RAPID-NAC)
FILTERSORB® SP3 provides nucleation sites that transform temporary carbonate-hardness components into microscopic calcium-carbonate crystals.
Calcium and Magnesium Preservation (MINERAL-KEEP)
The system does not remove calcium and magnesium through ion exchange, allowing these naturally occurring minerals to remain measurable in the treated water.
Regeneration-Free Operation (ZERO-REGEN)
No salt, brine tank, electrical regeneration control, backwash cycle or regeneration wastewater is required.
Additional Water Conditioning (PLUS-PROTECT)
RAPIDSOFT® PLUS combines FILTERSORB® SP3 with TRAPPSORB® for additional conditioning. Published corrosion-control and magnesium-release performance must be supported by validated data.

How salt-free scale conditioning works
RAPIDSOFT® controls the behavior of temporary carbonate hardness rather than removing hardness minerals from the water.
- Nucleation at the Media Surface – FILTERSORB® SP3 provides active nucleation sites where microscopic calcium-carbonate crystals can begin forming under suitable water-chemistry conditions.
- Crystal Growth and Release – Calcium-carbonate crystals form at the media surface and are released into the flowing water rather than accumulating permanently on the beads.
- Reduced Surface Attachment – Conditioned crystals remain suspended and pass through the system, reducing their tendency to attach to pipes, heaters and equipment surfaces.
- No Ion Exchange – Unlike conventional sodium- or potassium-regenerated softeners, the process does not exchange calcium and magnesium ions for sodium or potassium ions.
