REACH (DOSING PUMP)

Precision solenoid metering pump for controlled chemical dosing

Chemical Dosing Technology

Precise chemical dosing / Simple control / Reliable operation

REACH® is a compact solenoid-driven diaphragm metering pump designed for accurate dosing of compatible liquid chemicals in water-treatment and industrial processes.

The pump regulates chemical feed through independently adjustable stroke length and stroke frequency. External pulse control, configurable pulse multiplication or division, level-switch connectivity and optional signal inputs allow the dosing rate to follow actual process demand. A corrosion-resistant housing, PTFE-faced diaphragm, double-ball check valves and selected liquid-end materials support reliable operation across a range of compatible chemical-feed applications.

Controlled chemical feed / Matched to real process demand

REACH Dosing Pump Introduction

One dosing platform.
Multiple chemical-feed applications.

REACH® can be integrated into water-treatment and chemical-processing systems for proportional, continuous or pulse-controlled dosing. Chemical compatibility must be confirmed for the selected liquid-end, valve, seal and tubing materials.

Disinfection Chemical Dosing

Controlled dosing of compatible liquid disinfectants into appropriately designed treatment systems.

pH Adjustment

Metering of compatible acids or alkalis for automatic process-pH control.

Scale and Corrosion Control

Proportional dosing of compatible antiscalants and corrosion inhibitors.

Coagulation and Flocculation

Controlled dosing of suitable liquid coagulants or polymer solutions within viscosity limits.

Boiler and Cooling Water

Chemical conditioning for compatible boiler-feed, closed-loop and cooling-water programs.

Industrial Process Dosing

Repeatable chemical addition in manufacturing and water-dependent production processes.

Four operating capabilities engineered into one metering pump

SD

Virtually Wear-Free Drive (SOLENOID-DRIVE™)

A short-stroke solenoid moves the diaphragm through magnetic pulse action. The armature is the principal moving drive component, supporting compact and overload-resistant operation.

DA

Stroke Length and Frequency Control (DUAL-ADJUST™)

Metering capacity can be adjusted through continuous stroke-length control and ten stroke-frequency settings, allowing the output to be matched to process requirements.

PL

External Signal Integration (PULSE-LINK™)

Voltage-free contact control and configurable pulse multiplication or division enable integration with water meters, controllers and other process signal generators.

LG

Chemical-Resistant Liquid End (LIQUID-GUARD™)

A PTFE-faced diaphragm, PVDF liquid-end option, double-ball check valves and leak-routing weep hole support reliable chemical handling when material compatibility is confirmed.

Science & Technology

REACH® uses electromagnetic pulses to move a flexible diaphragm through a controlled stroke, alternately drawing chemical into the dosing head and discharging it into the process line.

  • Electromagnetic Actuation – Each electrical pulse generates a magnetic field that moves the solenoid armature and attached diaphragm forward.
  • Positive-Displacement Metering – Forward diaphragm movement displaces a defined liquid volume through the discharge valve. Spring-assisted return movement draws fresh chemical through the suction valve.
  • Dual Capacity Adjustment – Output is controlled by changing stroke length, stroke frequency or both. The brochure recommends operating at a minimum 30% stroke length for stated repeatability.
  • Automatic Process Integration – Pulse contacts, optional analogue inputs, level-switch connection and relay options allow the pump to respond to process demand and system status.

Frequently
Asked Questions

Important information about REACH® selection, control, chemical compatibility, installation and maintenance.

Contact Support
What is REACH®?
REACH® is a solenoid-driven diaphragm metering pump for controlled feeding of compatible liquid chemicals in water-treatment and industrial processes.
What is the capacity of the selected BT4b 0402 model?
The brochure lists 2.8 L/h at 4 bar and 3.6 L/h at 2 bar for the standard liquid end.
How is the dosing rate adjusted?
Output is adjusted using the stroke-length control, stroke-frequency setting or a compatible external control signal.
What stroke-length range is available?
Stroke length is continuously adjustable from 0–100%. The brochure recommends operating between 30% and 100% for stated metering repeatability.
Can the pump follow a water-meter pulse?
Yes. The brochure lists voltage-free pulse-contact control with configurable pulse multiplication and division. The exact range depends on the selected control version.
Does REACH® accept a 4–20 mA signal?
An optional 0/4–20 mA control input is listed. Confirm that this option is installed on the supplied model.
Which chemicals can be dosed?
Only liquids compatible with all wetted materials and within the pump’s viscosity, temperature, pressure and solids limits should be used. Compatibility must be checked for every chemical concentration.
Can the pump handle off-gassing chemicals?
The brochure lists a self-bleeding or auto-degassing liquid-end option. Its maximum delivery and allowable viscosity differ from the standard head.
How accurate is the pump?
The brochure states ±2% metering repeatability under constant operating conditions and at a minimum 30% stroke length. This is repeatability—not necessarily total system accuracy.
Is the pump weatherproof?
The enclosure is listed as IP65. It should still be installed in accordance with the operating manual and protected from incompatible chemicals, flooding, extreme weather and direct heat.
What maintenance is required?
Periodically inspect the diaphragm, valves, tubing, injection point, suction assembly and electrical connections. Maintenance frequency depends on the chemical and operating duty.
Which safety accessories are recommended?
Depending on the installation, use a suitable injection valve, foot valve, pressure-relief device, backpressure valve, pulsation damper, calibration column, level switch and secondary containment.
